Special Adoptions
With all of our adoptions, PARL strives to make the best possible matches, not only for our animals, but for their prospective families. These special adoption programs highlight a variety of circumstances where we wanted to bring a little extra attention to their individual needs.
We're Still Waiting...
Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason as to why some animals get adopted quicker than others. Our We’re Still Waiting… pets have been awaiting adoption longer others. They are happy, friendly pets that deserve an extra nudge from us to be noticed! This program is our way to help them say “take a look at me, I’m your new forever friend!”
PARL Pals
Some animals, like people, just belong together. PARL Pals are pets that may have lived together all of their lives or maybe they just bonded during their stay at our shelter. Either way, we just can’t bear to see them separated! It’s our hope that a special adopter will feel the same way as we do and adopt them together. To make the deal even sweeter, we’ve made their adoption fees a 2-for-1 deal!
Pets For Seniors
We offer senior adopters (60 yrs or older) an opportunity to adopt a pet at a discounted fee. Any animal that is 6 yrs of age or older is a $50 off adoption fee. Any animal that is 5 yrs of age or younger is a $30 off adoption fee.
Mom & Me
Throughout the spring and summer PARL cares for many cats that have a litter of kittens. All too often the mom cat sits in the shelter while one by one her babies are adopted. The Mom and Me program encourages adopters to take mom to their forever home with one of her kittens. We have a special adoption package for this program that will get mom and baby ready for their new home with you.
