Pet Walk is Spring-Bound!

After 21 successful years of hosting our signature event, Pet Walk, in September, we are moving it to the spring! On Sunday, May 2nd at Goddard State Park, Pet Walk 2010 will offer community fun and games with family, friends and dogs (with a few new surprises in store for you)!

Hundreds of Rhode Islanders and their pets will come together for our signature event, Pet Walk. There will be family fun activities including pet games and contests, activities for kids, obedience demonstrations, and fabulous prizes.

Be a Leader of the Pack! Form a Pet Walk Pack!

What’s a Pack?- gather five or more friends, family & co-workers to form your own FUN-Raising team and compete for fabulous prizes at Pet Walk!

  • Gather your Pack members with the goal of raising at least $1,000.
  • All of your pack members funds go toward your one pack goal!
  • Pre-register your Pack at www.firstgiving.com/parl so members of your Pack can create their own fundraising web pages.
  • Packs who reach and exceed the goal of $1,000 can also compete for the Pack Grand Prize!
  • You and your Pack members can also use sponsor sheets and hit the streets! Ask folks at local businesses, coffee shops and even your hairdresser! There are animal lovers everywhere!
  • Join us for weekly Pack Sessions at The Wild Colonial (see Pack Sessions below).

    Raising money for the animals is fun and easy! The more money you raise, the more prizes you can earn. And you can have a lot of fun doing it! Prizes will be awarded to the Top Team and Individual Fundraisers.

Your participation will make a tremendous impact on the lives of so many pets that depend on us for kindness, care, and a chance for a new life. Proceeds from Pet Walk support adoption and sheltering services to thousands of animals per year as well as humane education programs, low cost spay/neuter assistance, and emergency pet food distribution.
