Get Creative
Creating things from scratch is so rewarding. And if it’s something for our pets,.. even better! With a little bit of imagination and a few things from around your house or craft store you can make something your pet.
Here at Get Creative, you will find a featured monthly craft or recipe for you to try! Don’t have your own pet? How about making it for a neighbor? Or maybe even the animals here at the Providence Animal Rescue League. Good luck and have fun for the animals!
Pet Treat Container
Make sure that your pets only have treats when you want them to with this pet treat container craft. It's an easy and decorative way to keep snacks away from wet noses and gobbling mouths.
What you'll need:
How to make it:
1. Using a paintbrush, put a layer of Modge Podge on the plastic container where you would like to locate the cut-out.
2. Put on your different stickers and cut-outs.
3. Put another layer of the Modge Podge over the top of everything to help it stay in place.
4. Add your pet's name with paint marker if desired.
5. Fill with treats and let your pet enjoy!
Tips:
These food containers were bought at a warehouse club. After the food was gone, we removed the stickers and washed the containers.
We found some pet "cut-outs" pages in the scrapbook area of our local craft store. You could also use pictures in magazines or store ads.
